Consulting, workshops, lectures

For the last decade I have given lectures and led workshops for universities, organizations, and companies around the world.

My audience has ranged from healthcare professionals, students, government delegates, and artists. I have participated in TV interviews, podcasts, facilitated and spoken on panels.

I pride myself on bringing well-researched expertise while keeping the experience interactive and tailored to your needs. Let’s have difficult and nuanced conversations together, as we challenge our paradigms and expand into the liminal space of learning.

Career consultation for Artists

Let’s chat one on one about your goals and how to get you there! We’ll discuss, headshots, branding, reels, how to find representation, strategies etc. My specialty is helping queer artists find their path to thrive in their industry without compromising their values or identities.

Project Consultation

Let’s review your script, deck, pitch and take your project to the next level! For queer projects, we can review the queer literacy and representation in the project, help brainstorm ideas and offer additional resources. The consultation is a space free of judgment and an opportunity for learning and expansion.

Queer Literacy workshop

for Ad Agencies, Casting, Production companies

The purpose of this workshop is to expand and grow our queer literacy so we can enter the creative and professional space with a deeper, more nuanced understanding of LGBTQ folks and their experiences.
We will learn how to translate that knowledge into our creative choices to avoid stereotyping, exploitation, and harmful representation. This workshop is a space for reframing, thinking outside the box, and gaining specific and tangible tools to elevate our work and avoid pinkwashing/rainbow washing.

Industry 101 Workshop

This group workshop will cover the ins and outs of the industry from the perspective of management & casting. What does your profile need to look like regarding headshots, resume, and reels? How to get representation? Once you have rep, how to make the most of that relationship and elevate your career. How to bridge your identity with the industry's structure, culture and demands. In this workshop you will learn how to brand yourself as a queer artist, and how to use your uniqueness and queer power for maximum success! This will be an interactive workshop with a Q&A at the end.

Ethical art making workshop

Activism isn’t an action it’s a lens through which to see the world and move through it. How can our artistic process match that intention? We will discuss strategies for creating art with communities without exploitation, decolonizing artistic practices, and navigating power dynamics and privilege. Participants will leave the session with a helpful worksheet for future projects. Who is benefiting from our art and who is excluded from the conversation? If we rearrange our approach to process whatever we produce will be beyond our imagination.
