Why work with me?

I am a trained facilitator, coach, creative consultant, and organizer with over a decade of experience.

Through my work as the co-founder and CEO of Queer UP, a pioneer queer management agency, current faculty at Stella Adler, and years as a counselor and consultant, I have developed and coached hundreds of creatives, helped launch major careers, and grossed over 1.6 million Dollars for my clients.

My expertise is in identifying your superpower and helping transform you and your team’s vision into practical and accessible steps, while never compromising your identity, values, and political purpose. My collaborative approach, and fail-proof methodology is adaptable to groups, individuals and a wide range of experiences and careers.

My years of work as a crisis counselor and political organizer provide me with strong communication and restorative justice tools, as well as grounding me in liberatory frameworks and analysis.

Who do I work with?

I teach at and work with universities, festivals, companies, conferences and organizations.

I am a managing partner and facilitator of DCLA (Director’s Craft of Los Angeles), a cohort of award-winning film directors that uses innovative methods to sharpen their craft and develop new work.

My private clients range from healthcare professionals, students, government delegates, advertising agencies, academics, creatives and artists.

Project Consultation

Let’s review your script, deck, pitch and take your project to the next level! Do you need clarity on your message? Do you need that branding secret sauce? Do you need support to contextualize your piece politically? Let’s get clear on why this project and why you need to be the one to tell it.

The consultation is a space free of judgment and an opportunity for learning and expansion.

Hollywood 101 Workshop Series (6 sessions)

This group workshop will cover the ins and outs of the industry from the perspective of management & casting. What does your profile need to look like regarding headshots, resume, and reels? How to get representation? Once you have rep, how to make the most of that relationship and elevate your career. How to bridge your identity with the industry's structure, culture, and demands. In this workshop you will learn how to brand yourself as a queer artist, and how to use your uniqueness and queer power for maximum success! This will be an interactive workshop with a Q&A at the end.

Currently a mandatory class at Stella Adler Los Angeles

Gender exploration through movement

This interactive workshop focuses on deconstructing our relationship with gender through the power of movement. Using different ways to move our body, mask work, and play we will explore our gender expansiveness outside of language and words. This workshop invites us to liberate and discover our bodies, ask some new or old questions and let our body answer with joy. This workshop is for cis, nonbinary and trans folks alike. Come play and be free.

Coaching & Transformation

Oy vey, are you stuck? Need to find your center, priorities, and goals? Too many multi-hyphenates that you’re lost in your own hustle? Maybe the goals are great but it’s overwhelming, and you need support with how to get there?

I got you, I’ve been there, and so have most of my clients. It’s not you, it’s this capitalist nightmare we’re stuck in! Using my custom worksheets, somatic practices, accessible tasks and sessions, we will get clear on your priorities, permission to dream big, make tangible bite size steps, and set some hard boundaries so you don’t get pushed to the margins of your own story.

Let’s make every day the day you look forward to!

Marvel Orator

Speaking on a panel? Giving a speech at a fundraiser or gala? Speaking at a conference? Releasing a book? stage fright? Getting interviewed on Democracy Now and want to impress Amy goodman? Hell ya!

You know your stuff, but you’re not a “performer”… it’s okay! With my extensive experience on camera and on stage, we will cover how to stand, breathe, where to look, how to write a joke to start your speech, learn cadence, diction, and tricks to captivate an audience.

After we’re done, you’ll be the talk of the night.

Ethical art making workshop

Activism isn’t an action, it’s a lens through which to see the world and move through it. How can our artistic process match that intention? We will discuss strategies for creating art within communities without exploitation, decolonizing artistic practices, and navigating power dynamics and privilege. Participants will leave the session with a helpful worksheet for future projects. Who is benefiting from our art and who is excluded from the conversation? If we rearrange our approach to process whatever we produce will be beyond our imagination.

Joy in Justice: Workshop for organizers

Let’s develop a practice around organizing that is rooted in joyful resistance. How do we sustain our spaces and minimize burnout and conflict? This interactive workshop provides practical tools to integrate community building, trust, imagination and joy into all aspects of the work. When we feel belonging, valued and connected, we can better contain the rigorous and often heart-heavy work, and better hold each other to work through disagreements generatively. Let’s bring joy into justice!
